Ageing population in India is expanding at a very fast pace. Over 12 crore (9%) Indians are aged 60 years or more and in the next three decades, these numbers will increase by two and half times. India will soon be home to over 30 crore older people.

Breakdown of family structure, thinning of emotional bonds and individualized way of life in urban centers worsen the state of the aged people living with families.

Old age homes (OAH) have been found to be the alternate option for the remaining years. There are about 50 old age homes in Delhi and NCR; which include state run OAHs, private OAHs or those run by NGOs. Many studies have revealed the dismal state of OAHs. Some of the OAHs keep able bodied aged but fail to provide basic health care facilities to cater to their day to day health related problems and chronic conditions like hypertension, diabetes, dementia, forgetfulness etc. Inmates visit dispensary and private clinics to meet their basic health care needs which is very costly at this retiring age. Conditions at OAHs for the destitute are even more miserable where the aged live with illness, ignorance and poverty.

We look forward to your support in providing free medicine and proper nutritious meals for the helpless elderly residing in the old age homes.

We are running a comprehensive health care facility in 27 Old Age Home of Delhi/NCR . The Mobile Medical Care Unit (MMCU) provides primary and continual medical diagnosis and treatment to those, who due to age, lack of manpower in old age homes and poverty cannot afford and reach regular doctors in health clinics and hospitals.

Your crucial support will help provide free medicine and nutritious meals to these 1777 elderly adults residing in the old age homes of Delhi and NCR

The intervention shall make the elderly have easy access to good quality of healthcare. The Mobile Medical Care Unit assistance will reduce their stress levels and will help them lead a healthy life. With the project we not only want to cater to the health needs of the elderly but also create awareness regarding the problems faced by our older generation. A partnership with multiple stakeholders will help us achieve this and shall also provide them a chance to be of service to the elderly.
