About
IGLC is successfully running in 10 Government schools of Dhanbad, 5 Government Schools and 5 Community Centers of Ranchi after sought in permission from Education Department.
Modules followed in the schools are both Curriculum-based and Basic Reading & Learning competencies-based, depending on the need after preliminary assessment.
An IGLC (Inter-Generational Learning Center) program MOU was signed between: – JEPC (Govt. Of Jharkhand) and Healthy Aging India (NGO) on 10th of June 2022 to conduct IGLC classes in the state of Jharkhand. Dhanbad and Ranchi were selected for the IGLC program. Following this, Healthy Aging entered into two more fruitful MOU’s with BCCL (Bharat Coking Coal Limited) for Dhanbad in Jharia block and CCL (Central Coalfield Limited) for Ranchi block respectively.
TARGET LOCATION FOR IGLC PROJECT :-
Based on the MOU the target locations for the IGLC project in DHANBAD as are as follows:-
JHARIA, JORAPOKHAR, BASTACOLLA, JAMADOBA, DIGWADIH AND BHAGA.
Based on the MOU the target locations for the IGLC project in RANCHI are as follows:-
HATIA, BAJRA, JAGANNATHPUR, KARAM TOLI AND PANDRA
Based on Screening, 10 schools Govt. High and Middle schools were selected in Dhanbad and 5 schools and Community Centre’s were selected in Ranchi. It includes students of (Std. 6 to Std. 8) aged 8 years to 14 years.
