Dignified and Active Society for all Ages envisioning better Geriatric health coverage to Older Indians (60+) and Quality Education to children (10-14 years)
Intergenerational Learning is a learning where the generations work together to gain skills, values and knowledge, mutually and reciprocally benefitting participating generations. It creates significant learning opportunities and bring about transformation in perspective. This project seeks to provide curriculum support along with value education to children studying in Government Schools where they are mentored by elders, retired from various professions.
Visited about 200 old age homes (in India and abroad) to understand the problems of the poor elderly with meagre health care facilities. From problem to solution Comprehensive Geriatric Health Care Mobile Van was launched in October, 2018 by Lieutenant Governor Delhi Shri. Anil Baijal.
We conduct multiple campaigns, Walk-a-thons, Symposium and lecture series to sensitize people of all ages and from all walks of life. Till now, on a rough estimate we have sensitized approx. 20, 000 Young people from 50 Schools (Delhi, Gujrat, Uttar Pradesh, etc) on “Measures to keep to Your Grandparents Healthy” covering various preventive methodologies like vaccination, lifestyle modifications, proper and appropriate dieting, introducing simple but effective changes in the surroundings (like Grab bar, antiskid tiles in toilets, etc.), brain-teasing through computer and another social medium, etc. We have organized Walkathons in subsequent years- 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Pneumonia prevention Vaccination programs are held across at various locations of North India North India to immunize elders for pneumonia and to educate them & caregivers about the all-pervasive ailments like hypertension, diabetes, hypothyroidism, in addition special Cancer, etc. Dementia Awareness modules are included by Specialist Geriatricians, Doctors, Nurse Staff, volunteers, etc. to curb dementia/memory loss. Through Elderly Vaccination drives, we have immunized approx. more than 5000 vulnerable elderly people free of cost.
Health Camps are our one of the vehicle to reach elderly people, who are leaving in remote regions of the country. We have organized more than 50 Health camps over the last 6 years catering to about 40,000 elderly people, while directly extending the reach of Geriatric healthservices to remote areas of North India from Delhi, Rajasthan ( Bikaner- Indo Pak Border, Behror), Uttar Pradesh (Hapur, Khurja), Himachal Pradesh (Bilaspur), Gandhinagar, Hazaribagh and Madhya Pradesh (Bhind), etc..
Menstrual hygiene management (MHM) is an essential aspect of hygiene for women and adolescent girls between menarche and menopause. Despite being an important issue concerning women and girls in the menstruating age group MHM is often overlooked in post-disaster responses. Further, there is limited evidence of menstrual hygiene management in humanitarian settings.

Dr Prasun Chatterjee's appeal
“Friends, as you are aware that to save our people from the havoc being caused by the Coronavirus, our Honourable PM has appealed to lockdown the country. However, our old age homes are now in crisis for food. The NGO run old homes run on the donations made by people, and due to the lockdown donors are not able to reach the old age home. We have been providing 360 degree health care for the last two years in 27 old age homes of Delhi and NCR to 1000 elderly people. But in this crisis we understand and even the old age homes have requested that instead of medicine if they can be provided with a nutritious one time large meal which contains adequate amounts of carbohydrate and protein then it will be a great help for them. So we have decided that from 27 March we will provide one time large and nutritious meal to 1000 senior citizens in old age homes and in slums around them every day. We will teach them hand hygiene and cough etiquette as well. I request you to help us in this endeavour, as all temples, churches and mosques are closed and these elderly people are the living Gods- maybe your’s or my parents. Stay safe, stay healthy, and hygienic. Do not go out at all. Jai Hind.”
COVID VACCINATION with HAI

WAR AGAINST HUNGER
As parts of India shuts down to fight coronavirus, Healthy Aging India is waging war against hunger.
The second wave of Covid-19 has hit us hard. The daily wage earners are battling another huge wave, HUNGER.
These people are dependent on their daily earnings to fulfil their basic necessities. Barely few days of the Covid restrictions have forced them to have just one meal a day.
Like the previous year we have stepped up again and started doing something that is helping these people during these trying times.
We are providing dry ration kits and other basic necessities to these families which will help them to battle hunger during these difficult times.
Come forward and support us in our efforts. A small contribution will bring a huge change in the lives of these people.
The donor will be updated about the satus of their donation.
