This healthcare van ensures comprehensive, integrated, and equitable healthcare access by offering free diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, for the elderly in old age homes.
Over the past year, the Comprehensive Mobile Health Care Van (CMHCV) has sustained a consistent, far-reaching presence across old age homes throughout Delhi-NCR.
This initiative stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering accessible, dignified healthcare to the elderly, especially those in institutional care who often face barriers to regular medical support. Through structured and routine visits, the CMHCV has extended its services to 21- 24 old age homes across the region, ensuring no patient is left unseen or unheard.
Triple sharing rooms with essential amenities, CCTV security.
Curated meal plans catering to individual dietary needs.
On-site healthcare professionals and emergency response services.
Yoga, meditation, art sessions, and cultural programs.
Dedicated counselors to provide mental and emotional support.
Regular interactions with young volunteers.
There are many destitute homes in Delhi. They are shelters for those who have nothing or no one to care for them. They are given a space to live their last few years safely.
Elderly people in these homes stay there due to abandonment, full physical dependency, chronic illnesses, psychiatric issues or physical handicap. Many times it is difficult to provide constant care for them.
Our medical van goes to a different destitute home every day for the month, providing free medical check-ups, medicine distribution and physiotherapy to the fully dependent elderly. Our belief is that they too, like the financially fortunate, deserve to live out their golden years with good health and dignity.
Our medical dream team touches hundreds of lives in 27 old age homes, every day.
Health for all
This project brings essential, consistent healthcare directly to elderly populations who often lack access to regular medical services. It ensures dignified aging by addressing chronic illnesses, mobility issues, and emotional well-being at their doorstep.
The CMHCV has medicines and physiotherapy eqipment. This is managed and handled by Our Physiotherapist Dr. Abu Shohail Nizame and medical officer Dr. Pushpamma KK Nair.
Over the past year, they have traveled to multiple old age homes, every day ranging from 16 to 24 per month, healing thousands of people in need.
We have visited over 20000 patients. These are mostly elderly people with conditions such as:
Under the leadership of Dr. Pushpa, Healthy Aging India’s Mobile Health Van program brings free, essential healthcare directly to elderly residents in old age homes. Dr. Pushpa conducts daily rounds across facilities, providing medical checkups, diagnosing new and recurring conditions, and prescribing medications tailored to each patient’s needs.
FREE MEDICINE DISTRIBUTION
As part of our commitment to accessible and compassionate healthcare, all patients are provided free prescription medicines following medical evaluation.
Dr. Abu provides daily physiotherapy care to seniors across old age homes in Delhi and NCR. He treats patients with chronic pain, injuries, and mobility issues, offering targeted exercises to improve movement, reduce discomfort, and promote independence. His sessions focus on conditions like arthritis, lower back pain, and post-stroke paralysis.
